Cornelius J. Merlini, Senior Vice President – Laboratory Solutions
Mr. Merlini joined HealthTronics™ Laboratory Solutions in January, 2011 as Senior Vice President, Laboratory Solutions. In his new role, Cornelius will be responsible for leading the Laboratory Solutions Business as part an overall strategy to improve patient lives through strategic care pathways. Cornelius joins us from Cord Blood Registry, Inc., a privately held cord blood stem cell bank, where he was Senior Vice-President of Commercial Operations.

In his tenure at Cord Blood Registry (CBR), Cornelius demonstrated his leadership by building an exceptional marketing, field sales and medical affairs team. Much of the success was driven by the development and implementation of innovative customer-centric approaches in the emerging stem cell banking market. Mr. Merlini joined CBR from Johnson & Johnson, where he was Worldwide Vice-President, Cardiovascular Franchise. During his ten year tenure with J&J, Cornelius also held several other marketing franchise leadership positions. Prior to joining J&J, Cornelius held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, sales management and marketing over 10 years at Hoechst Marion Roussel. Cornelius holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Villanova University.

Joe Territo, Director of Laboratory Operations – San Antonio, TX, Philadelphia, PA and Leesburg, FL
Mr. Territo joined HealthTronics in January, 2008 and has been focused in pathology for the past twenty-seven years. Prior to joining HealthTronics, Joe held a fifteen year tenure at the Catholic Health System in Buffalo, NY, including thirteen years as the Laboratory Outreach Services Manager.

Joe also served five years in the USAF, holding positions within the Laboratory division. His areas of expertise include Laboratory Information System (LIS) implementation and laboratory expansion projects.

Becky Page, Director of Business Solutions
Ms. Page came to HealthTronics via UroPath in 2008, where she had worked for five years developing remote and in-office laboratories. With twelve years experience in medical management and more than five years in lab management, she has extensive experience and knowledge in implementing business solutions that match practices’ needs.

Becky has developed four medical office buildings and created over 60 physician-owned labs (POLs). A member of the Texas Society for Histotechnology, she is certified in HVAC systems and Lab Design and in Balancing Energy Efficiency with Lab Safety from Eagleson Institute. Becky has experience in lab management budgeting, staffing, operations and regulatory compliance.

Kim Grice, ASCP HT, Laboratory Director, Augusta, GA
Ms. Grice joined HealthTronics in 2005. She began as the Histology Manager after working in histology for eighteen years at the Trinity Hospital in Augusta. Kim graduated from Augusta State University with an Associate of Science degree. She is certified by the College of American Pathologists in Histology and is a member of the National Society of Histotechnology.

Karen Norris, AS; CLA, ASCP, Molecular Diagnostics Manager
Ms. Norris joined HealthTronics in January, 2009. Previously, she spent four years as manager of the Molecular Cytogenetics division of Georgia Esoteric and Molecular Laboratories. Karen began her education at the Charleston General Hospital School of Medical Technology and received her certification from the American School of Clinical Pathology.

Karen has over forty years of technical laboratory experience with an emphasis the last twenty-four years in Molecular Diagnostics. She was the co-developer of B6 Mouse Embryonic Stem Cell lines LK-1 thru LK-6 for research purposes (Patent Pending).
