JEREMY S. MILLER, MD
Medical Director, Augusta Georgia Laboratory
Dr. Miller joined Healthtronics™ in July of 2009 after completing a fellowship in Genitourinary Surgical Pathology with Dr. Jonathan Epstein at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. After serving as assistant medical director for his first year with Healthtronics, Dr. Miller was selected in July 2010 to serve as medical director for the flagship Augusta laboratory. He is currently clinical assistant professor of pathology at the Medical College of Georgia and a member of the clinical staff at Trinity Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Miller earned his biomedical engineering degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, prior to completing medical school and pathology residency at the Medical College of Georgia. He has also worked as a technology consultant for Accenture Consulting.
Dr. Miller continues to pursue academic interests, including publishing and presenting research and actively training residents, fellows, and medical students. Dr. Miller is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and is licensed to practice medicine in over 30 states. He is a member of the International Society of Urological Pathology, United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, College of American Pathologists, and American Urological Association.
SUMAN BANERJEE, MD, PhD, FCAP, FASCP
Medical Director, San Antonio Texas Laboratory
Dr. Banerjee joined HealthTronics in May, 2010. Prior to joining HealthTronics, he served as an Associate Medical Director of Bostwick Laboratories. Dr. Banerjee completed fellowship training in Genitourinary Pathology at Bostwick Institute of Urologic Pathology. Additionally, Dr. Banerjee completed fellowship training in Cytopathology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he had completed residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Banerjee earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Indiana State University.
Dr. Banerjee has co-authored numerous publications focusing on topics specific to Genitourinary Pathology, Cytopathology and Molecular Diagnostics. Dr. Banerjee is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology.
JUNYI LEI, MD, PHD, FCAP
Medical Director, Collegeville Pennsylvania Laboratory
Dr. Lei joined HealthTronics (formerly UroPath, LLC) in 2007. Previously, Dr. Lei served as an instructor in the Department of Pathology at the Henan Medical College, and also as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he was responsible for Genitourinary Pathology. He completed fellowship training in Genitourinary Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School and completed his residency in Anatomic Pathology at the National Cancer Institute (NIH).
Dr. Lei is a recipient of two National Research Awards as well as the Arthur Purdy Stout Society of Surgical Pathologists Study Award. He has published several papers on Genitourinary Disease and presents regularly at meetings for the American Association of Cancer Research, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) and the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Dr. Lei is board certified in Anatomic Pathology.
